On the Go: Wet Bag, Diaper Cover, Flats w Liners, Wipe Solution, and Wipes

Flats are a wonderfully trim option when it comes to cloth diapers!!! When I use any other available insert, I can pretty much count on a big fluffy bum… but flats make cloth diapering less bulky by far! So if you are worried about the bulk factor, flats may be your answer!

Your baby will be able to sport those cute baby jeans you love… or in our case, jeggins! Haha, those things are so cute!

With that said, hitting the town with flats may seem overwhelming to some even if you did get to put those cute jeans on baby. It really is not as bad as you may think though… I find that carrying a couple of covers per child, and a couple of pad-folded flats is plenty to have available for diaper changes on quick trips out. If you have a heavy wetter, you can easily reinforce the absorbency with a trim Hemp Babies booster. This combo has worked so well for us!

Another tip- please keep track of time, and change your baby as soon as he/she is wet. When you’re out and about, you will tend to get more distracted and this is when leaks can happen, making for a frustrating moment. You don’t want to end up late for your husband’s birthday dinner because you had to stop and purchase a new (dry) baby romper at The Children’s Place like I did Sunday… (I am constantly distracted! lol) Bonus tip: don’t forget to keep an extra change of cute clothes in the car!

Do accidents happen, yes, especially if you’re still trying to figure out your babies absorbency needs, Do they happen with disposables, yes. So you really have nothing to lose! Give flats a try!
