DIY Play-Dough

For days I’ve had a little one after me about playdough. “Blue playdough?” “Blue playdough?” “Blue playdough!!!”  No joke, this has been happening multiple times a day for about three or four days. For days I’ve had a little one after me about playdough. “Blue playdough?” “Blue playdough?” “Blue playdough!!!”

No joke, this has been happening multiple times a day for about three or four days. I, of course, have all the other colors of the rainbow in playdough except for the dreaded blue. I finally caved and decided to make the dough. :::breathes rapidly::: I don’t have the mental clarity for a Pinterest Remake so I was sure I would end up with a Pinterest Fail.

Much to my surprise, the sticky mess turned out ok! I didn’t have high hopes for this mini project but it turned out perfectly. If you’d like to try this recipe, you’ll need:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup salt

1tbsp Cream of Tartar

1tbsp Veggie oil

1 cup water

Food coloring of your choice

Heat water, salt, cream of tartar, oil, and food coloring on the stove until warm. Add liquid mix to flour and knead.

That’s it!  This recipe took about 10 minutes start to finish and it yields one happy toddler!

Enjoy the diy project!
